About Research & Development and Diagnostic Medicine Manufacturing Sections

1. Greetings

Yamasa Corporation (Yamasa) has expanded its businesses, such as sales of nucleic acid-based umami seasonings in 1961 and manufacturing and sales of nucleic acid compounds as raw pharmaceutical materials and additives for nutritional supplements in the 1970s, by utilizing biotechnology developed through soy sauce manufacturing.

In 1976, Yamasa launched the research reagent cAMP RIA kit, and, in 1986, obtained approval for the manufacturing and sales of the cyclic AMP kit “Yamasa” and PTH kit “Yamasa” as in vitro diagnostics.

In 1988, Yamasa established the Diagnostics Division, thereby developing, manufacturing, and distributing various in vitro diagnostics mainly using monoclonal antibodies and importing and distributing excellent foreign-made in vitro diagnostics.

Since the establishment of the Diagnostics Division, our in vitro diagnostics and reagents have been routinely utilized in research institutions, such as universities in Japan and abroad, inspection centers, and clinical laboratories in hospitals. In the future, we will make all efforts to continuously provide original and high-quality products by taking special precautions to ensure quality, safety, and compliance, in order to contribute to medical advances.
